Hello,
I am a user of Windows XP Professional.
I have a question does the number of applications installed has influence of
performance, even if most of them is not used?

No. Installed applications that are not running, have no influence on
performance. Some installed apps, even when you have not opened them are
running processes in the background.

No, it has no effect on anything except the amount of disk space available.

If you have a two-car garage and have two cars, but only use one of them,
having the second one doesn't affect the speed of the first one. Having the
second one doesn't have any effect except to make less space available in
the garage. Same with computers and unused applications.

Sometimes, depending on the program.
