Newbie - Needs help with query

Hi,

Can someone please tell me how to create a query to count total number of fields in a table? I need to be able to count fields and calculate how many of those fields contain a predetermined value. For instance...

25 Records
9 Columns
225 total fields.

75 out of 225 fields contain the value "JJD"

I need a query or some advice on how to do this. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
