Newbie, Help!

I have a VHS-C video camera. Plugged it into my composite video in on my pc and selected "Capture from Video Device". Message was that no device was detected. Am I missing something? Please help. Thanks

Is your composite video device for 'video-in' or just for sending video from
your computer to something else. See the analog capture section of my
website to see some of the devices people are using for capturing.
