This morning I clicked on my "H" drive to access a program. The drive
was hibernating and began clicking (6-8 times) while waking up. In
98SE I'm pretty sure you were able to see all the drive letter
assignments associated with a given drive. This would be helpful as I
would like to move all my data to a new HDD before complete failure.
Anyone know if this feature exists on XP and what the path is? TIA.

Go to Start > Run > type "diskmgmt.msc"(w/o quotes) > click ok. In this
window you will see in the lower half that it lists each disk seperately with
the different drive letters listed next to them. This should do what you are
trying. Good Luck,

Thanks. I got to that same location earlier but via the Control
Panel instead. However, it still doen't show the drive letters. But, I
figured that I can just compare the sizes of the partitions and deduce
accordingly. Again, thanks for your effort.

Drive letters for each partition should display in disk management.
