Newbie: E-mail Question

Are there only certain e-mail accounts I can check on OE? I added my Yahoo
and Excite addresses, but when I go to view available folders, it says this
service is not compatible with OE. Why?!?! Thanks!!!

The only web-based mail accounts that Outlook Express can access are
Hotmail accounts. You can pay Yahoo for a POP mail account and then
use Outlook Express to access it. I'm not familiar with how Excite
mail accounts work but they may offer the same option.

This is an Outlook newsgroup, not an Outlook Express newsgroup, BTW.
They are two totally different programs and have separate newsgroups.
