Newbie Alert - Windows Installer

Hi,
Since I tried to install Ontrack PowerControls version 2.10 and failed
because of a crash, and I now get 6 instances where Windows Installer
starts - every time I reboot my PC - but they close down after hanging
around the screen for a while without achieving anything. And it's a pain.

I contacted Ontrack several days ago, and they haven't deigned to reply to
my request for assistance.

I did try to install version 3 instead in the hope the later version will
remove the old one, but that hasn't helped either.

I can't seem to find a way to prevent Windows Installer running these
specific instances (is there a key in the registry that tells Installer to
do something?)

Any help would be appreciated.

Is this the problem with XP Embedded? I mean the OS you are running on your computer XP Embedded or XP Pro?
If latter, you would want to post your question to microsoft.public.windowsxp.general newsgroup.
