I have recently upgraded from W2K Pro to XP Pro and am , therefore
unfamiliar with certain aspects of XP Pro .

In W2K there is a facility to create an "Emergency Repair Disk" and an
" Emergeny Recovery Disk "

Is there a similar requirement and/or facility to create similar disks
in XP Pro and , if so , How does one go about this , please ?

Open Help and Support and look up Automated System Recovery.

There's normally no need for an ERD (Emergency Rescue Disk) with
WinXP. The WinXP installation CD is bootable, and provides access to
the Recovery Console.
