I had previously installed a trial version of xp pro and
now I've purchased the product. I've already installed
it and gone through the normal procedures for activation,
etc. But, my excel and word features are still not
working in the new upgrade. They say that my trial
version has expired and are in reduced functionality
mode. What do I do to get the new xp pro upgrade to take
over??? Help!!

Excel and Word are not part of XP (the OS). They are part of Office XP,
which is an entirely separate product and purchase.

Office XP will shift to reduced function mode if it's not activated. If
you purchased a copy of Office XP, you simply need to activate it. If you
only had a trial version, you'll need to purchase and install a copy of
Office, and activate it.

Are you confusing XP Pro with Office XP Pro? It sounds
like you activated the Windows XP Pro, but your Office XP
is still not activated. You will need to activate Office.
