I have my files and folders saved on a USB flash drive. I want to load them
on my new computer. I tried the easy transfer but it's not easy. The USB
flash drive option is greyed out so I can't click on it. I then tried to
email Microsoft support and it tells me my product ID is not valid. I let
Microsoft search for it and also tried typing it in myself - double checking
carefully to be sure I was correct and still got the same answer. I think I
want my Windows XP back!
Thank you in advance for your advice.

You have 180 days free support from MS on your Vista O/S, by phone.

Try dragging and dropping the files to a folder on your new computer, and
then use that location

Mr. Arnold,

I may be incorrect, and please correct me if I am, but it is my
understanding that if you purchase a retail edition of Vista the support is
for 90 days. At least that is what it states in the literature that came with
my Vista OS.

In any event, I think 90 or 180 days is far too short a time.

Have a nice day.

C.B.
