Using windows 98se IE-6.. When I try & open a new window all I get is a
box with the minus sign, the square, & X sign somewhere on the screen.
Have to hit on the square to get the page to open. This just started a
couple of days ago, any Ideas ??? TIA Gimpy

Hi,
That's actually a small window. Try stretching it out to full size. Close
the first IE window first, then close that resized window. Or, open one of
those (new) small windows. Close the first window. Right-click on the
taskbar and choose either cascade or tile to make that window somewhat
larger, then stretch it out to full size. Then close it.

Hope this helps,

Thanks Don, but its not a small window as I said its a rectangle with
the 3 signs as you see in the upper right hand of any page... Just have
to hit on the square to open the page up... . Gimpy

Try this: http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k/reg/IEPlacement.reg
"Reset IE Window placement".
See: http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/ietips.htm#Size
Thanks for trying guys, but none of this has helped.. Forgot to mention
when I try & open a new page along with the rectangle I also get the
page listed on the tool bar at the bottom.. Can right click on that &
use maximize to also open the page as well... Left click & nothing
happens ??? Gimpy....

Try right-clicking it's button on the taskbar and choosing "size." Use the
arrow keys to resize it. Hit Enter when you have a size you like.
