New Video Driver question

I just downloaded new nvidia drivers from Windows XP updates. Now I have an
icon in the task bar that isn't needed.

When I goto add/delete programs in the control panel, it shows two nvidia
drivers, one shows as nvidia display driver and the other one shows as
windows 2000/XP nvidia drivers.

I have 2 questions:

Do I need the icon showing or hidden in the task bar? I tried to disable it
and I cannot find how. I can hide it fine, but do I need it running in the
background? Afterall, all the setting are just duplicates of the screen
display properties that I can get to by right clicking on the display
screen. How do I disable it or get rid of it?

Second question is do I keep both drivers in windows, or do I uninstall one?

Thanks

Do you see NvMcTray under the start up tab? That is what controls it.

|I looked at the startup tab in msconfig and I cannot see any file
related to
| nvidia.

I have both nwiz and NvMcTray in my startup tab. There is another
application called Nvcpl also. Is there a single application to deselect or
a combination?

Deselecting NvMcTray should do it.

Thanks for the help.

As far as the two drivers on the system, I guess it shouldn't cause any
problems for conflicts?
