Hi all,

Is it possible to get new users to 'adopt' a particular users settings when
created? You know simple settings like wallpaper, screensaver, start menu
style (classic), Auto arrange icon.
As a company we have a standard setup of the PC with no wallpaper, classic
start menu etc. But I always end up having to do this for every user. Long
winded, it would be good if I could do it on the admins account and then
everyuser that logs in (domain users) have the same basic local settings.

Thanks
Gavin

The default user account is the template used when creating new user
accounts. It sounds like creating a custom user profile would help:

HOW TO: Create a Custom Default User Profile

If you want to lock in certain settings (disallow changes), that can be
accomplished to but the "how" depends on your network structure.

You could customize all the settings in the type of account the users
will have (limited, power users, administrators).

When you're satisfied with the customizations, copy the folder of that
account to the folder 'Default users.'
Users created from this point on should have the same settings.

Good luck
