I've got a good one... Here's the scenario.
The PC is in AD and when a new user logs on, the default profile is copied
to the new user's profile directory, but a few files are left out
(Application Data). This happens only to the first new user after the PC is
turned on. Any new user after that works just fine.
Here's what I tried...
I created local users and logged on with the same result. The first user,
after powering on, fails to get all the files. I thought it was related to
AD, but since this happens even to local accounts, I feel that AD has nothing
to do with it.
I then tried repeating the steps above, but disconnected the network first.
Everything worked fine when the network cable was disconnected. The same PC
model and PC image works just fine in other areas. Would anyone know what
would cause this problem? My feeling is that there may be a problem with the
network switch, but I just don't know what. I don't even know why having the
network connected causes profiles to copy improperly.
Any advice?
Thanks,
ZenIT
