hello, i am starting a job which i am required to learn
excel. they are allowing me to seek some training. does
anyone have suggestions on the quickest way to learn basic
excel? I am in a hurry! i have computer experience as a
home user of windows, internet, etc, but not much
experience with office. How long do you think it takes to
grasp this stuff!!!!?????
Please!!! Any advise. Thanks so much in advance!

Maureen, "How long do you think it takes to grasp this stuff" it depends on
what stuff you want to do, here is a very basic tutorial that might help
you get started, good luck on your new job, you can always post questions
here if there is something you do not understand

Thank you paul for your help. I will check out the
tutorial. Also, do you know of any online
training "courses" that may be helpful or intense
workshops in San Diego.
Again, all input welcome!

There are some community colleges that offer courses in this stuff. And I bet
if you call one of the instructors and tell them what you know and what you
need, they'll talk your ears off about what courses you should take/avoid.

You may even want to see if your new employer will foot the bill.

Even if you they don't, you might want to consider it.
