My Learned Friends,

About a month ago about 1000 tmp file (with names like: 1A52.tmp) suddenly
appeared under the folders in local (C:). Combined i would say they were
about 20mb or so if that. I wanted to know if it was safe to delete them?

Please advise

Yours,
Joe

Hi Joe

Reboot your system to make sure those files aren't being used, then delete
them.

Generally speaking, it is always safe to delete *.tmp files. If a file
is in use, Windows won't let you delete it. I'd give some thought as to
what was producing 1,000 .tmp files, though. To start with, make sure
your computer is clean:

Yes. Perfectly safe to delete them.
