New set up, windows mail. Can't send or recieve

New pc, I've entered the correct pop and smtp names. I have Hughesnet. I am
sure it is something simple, just can not figure it out. Any suggestions?

We cannot see your computer. If you want help, you are going to have to provide details.
What pop and smtp names did you enter?
What error message do you get? Be exact as it does matter.
Have you contacted their technical support?
Is the service Hughes.net or Hughesnet.com?

0x800ccc0e . I entered the pop and smtp #'s as above.
hughes.net is my provider, I believe I read in the past they do not provide
tech support for this type issue, will double check. You time is appreciated,
going on my 2 nd day trying to work it out. Thanks Karl

or Google for Hughes.net and you will get several links for support. One even has a downloadable wizard for setting up your mail.
 
Thanks again, Been through that , just got off the line with hughes.net
support in pakistan, got no where. have searched and googled . I guess I'll
try and disable windows mail and figure something else out. Thanks for your
time.
 
Your error message looks like it was hand-typed, thus subject to typos.
Right-click on your error message, copy, then paste it into a reply here.
We can't do much troubleshooting without an accurate, verbatim error message.
 
Thank you, The main typo was setting up the account, typed smpt instead of
smtp. tahnks for the instructions. Karl

have you set up your internet account first. to call up Windows mail for the
first time open the start menu click windows mail icon-don t see-choose all
programs and click windows mail try this
