New Security Patch

Understand that a patch must be installed to correct the
current "critical" security situation. In consulting
your website, the various Windows XP patches do not
specifically mention XP Professional, which is what we're
running (2002 version0. Which, if any, of the listed
patches would be appropriate for Windows XP Professional
2002? Several listed "64 bit" but I am not inclined to
download something that might only make matters worse.

The updates are the same for Windows XP Home and Pro.
You have a 32 bit computer so you do not want and can not use the 64
bit patch.

You should go to Windows Update and install ALL Critical Updates.
Start/All Programs/Windows Update
