correectly and there is no trouble with either the RAM or the
slots they plug into - it should just work.
What does your system BIOS show - for RAM?
I really don't know all that much about computers. I went to a
comp. store today and said that I wanted to buy 512 ram for my
laptop (which I brought in, but the guy didn't look at). He sold
me one that he said works with 99% of computers. So I got it, put
it in, but my computer still says it only has 256. Do I need to
switch where the two are? I just added the new RAM into the second
slot. Or does it just not work? Thanks for your help!!

Was it a "Computer Store" or was it "Best Buy" or "Circuit City"
or some sort of chain store like those?
Thanks. Yeah, it doesn't seem like it works with my laptop. I
went to the "crucial" site. Thanks for that. Hopefully that will
