While browsing the HP website for information on various
HP drivers, I have noticed they now include a QFE ( Quick
Fix Engineering ) update to pre-fix possible?? system
restore feature/functions when the new SP2 update is
installed. Apparently this fix (issued by Microsoft is
KB835409) ; however, I cannot find any info on the QFE
anywhere on the Microsoft/MSDN sites. HP's info is that
this update must be install onto a SP1 machine prior to
doing the SP2 update. I would be nice to know a little
more about this update, from somewhere ..... besides the
HP site. If this is a major issue, will not installing
the update cause a future problem with the system restore?
I don't see where it is offered prior to sp2 updates via
the windowsupdate site , or am I missing something?
