New Message Size

Hello All,

I have an interesting problem that I have been unable to resolve. One
machine in the office is running Windowx XP Pro, Office 2003. In Outlook
2003, when the user clicks on new message, the untitled message comes up, but
all the text is twice the normal size, even though it only shows it as being
font size 12. When the message is sent, it arrives and everything looks
fine. All incoming messages look fine, it is only the new messages. Word
2003 is the editor, I have tried every combination imaginable to resolve
this, but can not. Does anyone have any advice, is this a corrupt form? I
have tried uninstalling Office and re-installing, but that did not resolve
the issue either. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
 
This is caused by the zoom factor you've set in Word. You can find it on the
Standard Toolbar

Roady,

The zoom was set at 94%, switching it to 100% made no change in the font
size. I did notice if I went under views for the new message and changed it
from Web View to Normal View that seemed to shrink the text...I however could
not find out how to do this on a global scale for all new messages. I would
have to go in and manually change it on each new message....any more ideas

Try this: Choose Normal View. Than click Format>Font, specify the font you
want, then click Default at the bottom left.
 
I do not see a default in the lower left hand corner of the Font menu. There
is no default option in the new message either. The left hand corner only
shows views and it only lasts for that message.
