I am using Office 2003 on a XP machine. In the Outlook 2003 I created a "New
Menu" beside "Help" menu at the top. How do I get rid of it?
I went to "Customize", "Commands" tab, but there is nothing to delete the
"New Menu"
Also how do I add "News" to the "Go" menu? Under the "Commands" tab, in the
"Go" menu options "News" is missing. "Go" has everything from "Inbox",
"Mail", "Drafts", to "Internet call", "Folder", etc. but not "News".

Thank you.

How did you create the "New Menu"?

as for the second problem:

To get the News command back, go back to the Programs tab in Control Panel |
Internet Options and change the default newsreader to Outlook Express. If
OE prompts you to make it your default newsreader the next time you launch
it, clear the "Always perform this check..." box and then click the No
button.

You may need to reset the Menu Bar and/or restart Outlook and/or reboot your
machine in order to complete the process. Not everyone is reporting success
with this method, but try it and see what happens. If all else fails, you
can always create a desktop shortcut to Outlook Express and include the
/outnews switch -- that gives you the same result as accessing the
newsreader via the News command in Outlook.

Customize, Commands tab, "Rearrange Coomands" button, then across "Menu Bar"
radio button, I chose "New Menu" to create it. So when I follow the same
steps to delete the New Menu, "Delete" button is grayed out. How do I get
rid of the "New Menu"?

TIA
