I recently replaced 200Gb SATA HD (that died) with new 300Gb SATA drive.
Problems is HD LED in on all the time, When I access HD (boot up, copy,
ect.) LED turns bright (like it supposed to)
and should go off when I'm done accessing HD. It dims down, and I can still
hear HD heads moving.
I know nothing else is accessing HD (I got NAV2004, and AdWare ST running)
Also Active SMART (HD monitor) reports seek time performance one point down,
but overall status is OK
Any ideas?
Thanks.

Well what do you expect?! It's a Crapster! I've yet to see a Crapster that
lasted longer than a couple of months...

Well, yesterday it went 2 point up.
As Maxtor brand goes, well... most of my Hd are Maxtor.
Only 2 died on me out of 12 (over 10 years)
40Gb ATA - had 4 years, still works but has issues
200Gb SATA - had 1 month, but got replacement from Maxtor (got 240Gb
instead)

I have a 160 here that's 18 months old and works 18/7. Now you know of one
that's lasted longer than "a couple of months."
