I would like to create a new mail subfolder that is first in my list of
subfolders whose name begins with a space character. IOW, I want the new
folder named " xyz" to appear before "abc". How do I accomplish this? I
already have several named that one, but I believe they were imported from
Netscape Messenger.

Thanks

Rename the folder and place the spaces. You can also use a charachter for
this like ! or _

(I changed my reply address; remove all CAPS and _underscores_ from the
address when mailing)

I tried prefixing with spaces, but they are removed. I'd prefer to not add
any visible characters.

Thanks

What version of Outlook are we talking about? Are you using an Exchange
server? The spaces work for me in Outlook 2003

Then it would surely work. First create the folder without the spaces and
then just rename it with spaces

I've done this several times and when the renaming is complete the leading
spaces are removed!
Might I have some option set that is causing this behavior?
Thanks

Indeed; on a restart of Outlook the spaces are gone (proves how often I do
that... :-S)

I found that it worked when I used the ALT code for the space instead (0160)
