Does anyone know how to get the New Mail Notification
alert to work in Outlook 2003?

I use Windows XP Pro and have closely followed the
instruction in the Tools options menu etc, but it still
does not appear. Is there a fix available?

I am not even able to get the Alert Box to appear in the
bottom right of the screen (though I can preview
it),although I do get a notification sound. I am fully up-
to-date with Windows Updates.

Any ideas?

Do you have rules that move mail to specific folders upon receipt?

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After furious head scratching, Peter T asked:

Yes, I have set up rules to move mail upon receipt.
By default, the new mail alert will only work on your primary Inbox. You MAY
be able to create a rule that would alert you when mail is delivered to
other mail folders.
