New mail has a reinder auto created for it

I had to use the inbox repair tool, becuase outlook could
not open my .pst. Now that it is up and running again,
whenever I get new mail, outlook automatically pops the
new mail in a reminder box(like the ones that display
when you setup events on the calendar). The mail is still
going to the Inbox though.

Can anyone advise on how to turn this off, (it's very
irritating)?

There is an option for this in Tools-> Options-> tab Preferences-> button
E-mail Options-> button Advanced E-mail Options

Roady,
I don't seem to see an options for this in the area you
described. Nothing about turning on/off a reminder for
every incomming email.
Please expalin!!
