New Machine No OS - Transfering XP PRO

Hello all,

First let me thank anyone who replies to this question in
advance. I know your time is valuable.

I am purchasing a new bare bones kit. It has no operating
system. I want to take XP Pro from the machine I use now
and move it to the new machine. How do I do this so that
all updates go with it? I do not want to have to spend
unknown hours updating and reupdating the new machine,
especially when I already have all of the updates.

You most likely can't.
If you move the hard drive to new hardware, a Repair Installation is
most likely required to properly detect the new hardware:

The installed updates can not be saved for later use.
However there are a few options on this link for ways to save them in
the future.
