New Intilli mouse...scroll wont work

Hi.

I have a new intelliMouse Explorer 4.0A. I have installed the latest
intellipoint 5.2 drivers, but the wheel wont scroll at all. All other
functions are fine.

If I use it on another pc even without drivers it's fine. I've tried
removing and re-installing the drivers etc, but no good.

Now I did have an old Intellimouse which was playing up and that's why I
replaced it. I am starting to wonder if it really was playing up now.

Any ideas?

Supposedly XP doesn't really need to use the IntelliPoint drivers. Try
removing them and see what happens.

Check START|RUN "msconfig"|STARTUP tab to see if POINT32 is set to load at
start up.

Click START|ALL PROGRAMS|MICROSOFT MOUSE|SCROLL tab and enable scrolling.
 
Take it back, your wheel is defective.
