My parents old version of XP-Home was saying it was illegal so instead of reinstalling a new copy I ordered a New Copy of XP and a new HD and just put the old drive in so they could still play the games on it..
I started to install the new copy on the new drive and everythink was going fine till all the dll files and stuff was put on the drive and the thing did it's reboot, then it started to reinstall the stuff all over again, I tryed 2 different XP CD's and it still does it. And Formated the drive... Is this a problem with the MotherBoard? I've did plenty of installs and this is the first time I had this happen.
Thanks

Remove the old drive and all peripherals so the only items are the monitor,
mouse, keyboard, video card and CD drive. See this link for how to do a
clean install. After XP is installed then add the other devices one at a
time.
