New Hotmail message notification

It there really no way to adjust the so highly-praised Outlook 2003 so that
it would provide notices of new Hotmail messages? Even if Hotmail it is the
only account?
 
nope... unless it's a hotmail account associated with msn premium and you
use the connector.

I have MSN premium and am trying to do the same thing.
What do you mean by "use the connector"?

MSN now has a connector you use to connect Outlook to your msn mailbox. It's
installed with MSN9 or the new Outlook Live service.
