I recently installed Windows XP on a Dell Dimension 4100.
More recently, I upgraded the BIOS to the most current
version available. I also reinstalled an HP OfficeJet T45
combo printer/scanner/fax/scanner using the XP driver I
purchased from HP. The printer seems to be working
properly. Each time I turn on the computer, however, I
received the Found New Hardware message comes up at the
bottom of the screen. The Wizard then appears and when I
proceed through the process, the result is that the Wizard
could not find a better match. The New Hardware
sSuccessfully Installed balloon appears and everything goes
on from there. All of this is occurring, by the way, as
the previously installed printer is initializing itself.
I have no idea how to fix this.
