New hardware found message if no new hardware is hoocked on

I have a problem with the new hardware found program in windows xp.
Everytime i start my computer it says that there is new hardware found: MEDIA.
I didn't hoock up any new hardware and when I want additional information he
can't give any.
Any know how to solve this problem.
 
What type of XP? XP Pro, Home or MCE? Can you give more details
(Specifications) of you PC and printer?

I have got xp home edition SP2
Intel pentium 4 3ghz
512mb ram
Ati radeon 300se
HD 120GB (intrnal)
HD 200GB (external)


(printer) Hp deskjet 840c
(scanner) snapscan e20
 
I had same problem 'snake' I had it when I installed a new printer. it was
hard to install, but when i finally did, i still keep getting "Found new
Hardware" anyway. i'll help you and me find answer!
