I just received a new Harddrive after my computer crashed. When I turn it on
I get a blinking cursor that stays on the screen for less than a minute and
then I receive the windows log on screen.

Should I be concerned or am I being paranoid

Kathy, you can speed up WinXP loading by going into the Bios and setting
the order of Boot Devices. Set the hard drive
as first with cdrom drive second and floppy third. To get into the Bios
usually press the delete button on startup. Look in
your computer manual if you need help with this.

Sounds like your new hard drive also included a version of windows that
works with your pc. The delay is most likely due to its' searching for a
network connection that is not available
