new graphics card

\i have just installed a ATI Radeon 9250 into my machine but am having
problems with video playback. When i run a video or even google earth my
screen goes into shut down mode and then the system crashes. I have only a
basic knowledge of computers and have been struggling for hours to sort this
out.ATI recommend that with a AMD Athlon you turn of the AGP Fastwrite in the
Mainboard BIOS. Can someone tell me in plain english how i do this.Please.

When you first start up it should tell you how to enter the BIOS (F2
or such), search the bios for fastwrite.

Might also check your DirectX setup
Start | Run <type in> dxdiag <enter>
