Hi,

I just published a graphical frontend for sysinternals pstools
utilities at:

http://www.dadsproject.com/

The program's main purpose is to build the command line for a pstools
utility. It will also let you execute the tool and show the results.

Furthermore it can create a shortcut from the build command line or
one can copy the command line and use in a script.

You can download and use the program freely.

Let me know if you have any comments.

Regards,

David Pront

Koala that looks really nice and I'm sure it performs well. I don't want to rain on what you've done because I'm sure it can be helpful to many as well as me if I just installed the .NET Framework. Is it such that your GUI would not be possible without it?

Hi Hester,

Thats right, the program won't work without the .NET framework. It is
build in c# for the .NET framework. Hope you will still be able to use
it.

David

Hey I like my last name as well as my first. No problem. Well when I get some extra space in here I may try that .NET Framework again. How's it treating you? Do PsTools also work in Windows 2003?

George,

To my knowledge the .NET framework will allready be on your computer
when you're running windows 2003 server or windows xp with sp1. The
PsTools will run on both. The frontend will work on any platform that
supports .NET.

Greetings,

David

Hi

Sorry, the .NET framework is not installed as default on Windows XP
with SP1 (neither will it be with the soon to be released SP2).

You are right, it is not installed by default. As I understand it is
supplied as a installation option on the service pack 1 cd. I don't know
about the service pack download.

Hi

Yes, it is available on the service pack 1 cd, but it is not part
of the service pack download...
