When I attempted to upgrade my current installation of FreshUI by
downloading the latest version from Fresh Devices, I was redirected to a
page which gave me the following message:

Your Internet privacy setting is too high. Please lower it down to a
medium privacy to be able to download our software.

* Click on the Internet Explorer toolbar: Tools - Internet Options menu
* Move to the Privacy tab and then move the slider to a Medium or Low
setting
* And last, click on the Back button on your Internet Explorer toolbar
to visit the download page

I don't recall ever seeing this before when downloading from Fresh
Devices. In fact, I've never gotten a message like this in years of
downloading freeware from hundreds of sites. Privacy setting too high?
Apparently not.

Who needs fresh devices? I stopped using their programs a long time
ago, there are many better alternatives

Have you tried xsetuppro 6.6
Here it is, scroll down to the link, it's the last freeware version

Thanks, tf. I have used X-Setup in the past, but stopped after they
discontinued development on the free version. I am concerned that the
6.x series may still contain some outdated registry hacks which have
since been shown to actually reduce performance. I also thought the
interface was a bit confusing, with several plugins seemingly doing the
same things. Lastly, I didn't care for the fact that X-Setup needed to
maintain a reference file in my temp directory in order to facilitate
loading of the plugins.
