New Document Shortcut in Start Menu

i have ahd Office 2003 installed for some time now. I just recently noticed
that the shortcut for Opening and creating a new document, that usually is in
the start menu is not there and never was. How can I get that in the Start
Menu so I can use the templates built with in WORD 2003.
