New Dig cam won't work

Got a new Dig Cam for Christmas and for some unknown reason, Win XP will not pick it up. I've installed al the software that came with my cam but still, XP canot find the new cam. Any suggestions whatsoever?????

You might want to try the website of the camera's
manufacturer. Someone here may be able to help, but not
without a bit more information: What brand of camera? How
does it interface with the computer? USB?

Try this: Turn the camera off|disconect the USB wire from
the camera| Wait 30 seconds| Reconnect the wire| Turn the
camera on.
