I want to move my outlook files from one laptop running
Outlook XP to my new laptop running Outlook 2003. What is
the best way to do this? I tried using the pfbackup.exe
but the file from Outlook XP was said to be incompatible
with the Outlook 2003.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Copy the PST your Outlook 2002 uses to a CD on the old laptop. Put the CD
in the new laptop and copy the PST to some folder on the new laptop,
somewhere in your Windows profile (i.e., C:\Documents and
Settings\{yourname}\...), right-click the file and uncheck the "Read-only"
attribute. Click OK. Start Outlook 2003. Click Open>Outlook Data File,
select Personal Folders file, and browse to the location where your PST file
is located. Select it and click "Open". You should now have access to your
old data.
