I just got my PC back up and running...
Long story, don't ask..
Everythig is swell...however, many of my programs, etc...arte now corrupt
and when I try to uninstall them and reinstall..I get all sorst of install
errors...so I decided I would just do a clean install...I have all my
important data backed up onto CD's that I want to keep..and have all the back
up CD's For reinstalling drivers, printers, etc...and so on..
So..I'm good there...
My problem is...I am a little confused as to how to do a clean install.
When I followed the prompts at boot up using my install CD...
(WIN-XP Home Edition) and got into the section where it asks to chose "R"
for repair and click enter to continue with a full install..I went with the
full install and as it search for a previous windows, it showed the one I am
on currently. This is where I am lost. It actually listed three areas from
which to choose...but other than this one, the other two stated NOT ENOUGH
SPACE to do a full install..so I chose the one I am on now..but then got a
message that said it would cause something or other to now perfom correctly...
The problem is...that seemed to be the only area of choice that had enough
space to do a clean full install...
Any advice or assistance wouyld be great...
Thanks....
Vicki
