netyworking problems

Hi i have just joined this site so bare with me please ty.


A few days ago after having had no problems until then,my sons pc is not
connecting to the internet.I have the master (host) pc and we are both
connected via cross over cable and every thing has been fine for the last 2
years.The trouble he is having is it shows from my end hes connected and
every thing is ok,i even run the wizard so many times i think hes going dizzy:
)..but any way could it be he needs a new network card?
 
Hi,

Are you using the host's Internet Connection Sharing? Have you changed
anything about or installed a third party firewall?

From your son's machine, click start/run, type cmd and click ok. From the
prompt run IPCONFIG and post back with his IP address and the Gateway
address.
