Any advice/suggestions that would be great: We have 2 desktops in the office
that are networked via wireless router to the Internet. And also want them
networked for file access via both desktops. Then we have a notebook
computer that is remotely connected to the internet via network card, that
part is OK. What I'm wondering is how we can network them while the
notebook is on the jobsite (so he can access files possibly on the computers
at the office) How would we go about doing this? Also, how can one connect
to the internet remotely, out on a job site w/a notebook computer?!

Kelly,

Here are a few websites with useful tutorials on networking in general:
http://www.cablesense.com/
http://www.homenethelp.com/
http://www.practicallynetworked.com/
http://www.wown.com/

Where is the job site? Is it within range of the office? Is there another
wireless router there?

If the job site is within range of the office, or if the wireless router there
is connected to your office wireless router, then you should have no problems
networking the notebook computer to your desktop computers, and to the internet.

If there's a wireless router at the job site on a separate LAN, or using a
different internet connection, then you'll need to setup a VPN between the
notebook computer, and your office LAN.

Some more details about your office to job site distance, etc would be helpful
here.
