I had my XP networking with another computer at my old home.

Now it is a stand.alone. It works fine but it is slow to start-up.

What should I do to reset it to what it was before I configured it to
network?

thanks

Try removing the NIC, or disabling it in BIOS if it is an onboard
chip.

Open Network Connections and remove the networking protocols
and delete the network. No need to remove the NIC.
