One computer can see both, but computer 1 (home) cannot see computer 2 (Pro).
What am I doing wrong. I have tried through a Lynksys router, as well as
with a CAT-5 network cable. I am running McAfee on computer 1. Is the
firewall on the virus software causing the problem?

Donna,

One of the most common causes of this problem would be, indeed, a misconfigured
or overlooked personal firewall. There are other possibilities too, with many
variations on the firewall issue. Read this article with an open mind.

If no help yet, provide "browstat status" and "ipconfig /all" from each
computer, so we can diagnose the problem. Read this article, and linked
articles, and follow instructions precisely:

Thank you. I will give it a try. If not, I will certainly be contacting you
tomorrow. I have two days to get the computers networked in order to run a
horse show and I am getting a little nervous.

Donna,

If the situation is urgent, and my time permitting, I may be able to help you by
IM, if you care to try that. You can contact me by leaving a MSN/Windows
Messenger, or a Yahoo Messenger, userid on my GuestBook, in a Private message.

But stay calm. As another helper here likes to say, "Don't Panic!".
