Until recently the network worked as intended. The win 98 machine is
the master. The network was set up such that the win 98 machine could
copy to and paste from the xp machine. The xp machine had shared use
of one particular folder on the master. At present, from the win 98
machine I can see the XP machine but I cannot see its direcories.
When I try, the message I receive is: "......is not accessible" "no
permission to access resource". The xp machine still has use of the
shared folder on the master.

Stan,

What did you change on the XP computer recently?

Do you have a firewall (third party, or Windows Firewall) active on the XP
computer? If so, is file sharing enabled?

Stan, posting your email address openly will get you more unwanted email, than
