I'm having a particularly frustrating problem with XP Home.

I have 1 computer with shared printer on workgroup "HOME". I have two other
computers set up on "HOME" workgroup as well. Computer 2 is XP Home, and
Computer 3 is WIN98 se on "HOME". Computer 2&3 can see and talk to each
other without problem. When I set them up they could see each other
immediately. Computer 1 will not publish. It will also not see 2 or 3. I
have tried everything I know.

Computer 1: name is bobby, workgroup "HOME". Shows as published with shared
printer.

Computer 2: name is mark, workgroup "HOME".
Computer 3: name is rick, workgroup "HOME".

I have used the networking setup idiot disk created by windows home and run
it on all three machines, but still, computer 1 will not see 2 or 3, and
they will not see 1.

Any suggestions would be great. A solution would be excellent.

HEEEELP!!

could be a cabling issue??
can you get onto the internet through your

also check ip address scheme

Yes, I can get to network/internet. Pinging shows the other workstations but
I absolutely cannot browse these connections through network places.

You have "Files and Printer Sharing" enabled on all your networked computers
including having folders or files or printers in each computer setup for
"sharing"?

I have a similar problem with a DSL network. Unfortunately its a special
case (DSL modem + PDA adapter) where no one here has experience with.

One computer running XP and connects directly to the DSL modem via Ethernet
connection.
The other computer runs ME and connects to the DSL modem thru the house's
phone lines using a Personal Data Adapter (PDA).

I the two computers able to see each other when the computer ethernet(ed) to
the DSL modem was still running Windows 98. I recently clean installed XP
HE on it and now the PDA computer fell off the network.
