I have 3 pc's. the first pc is win XP Home, that has a
modem for a dialup. lets call this Pc-A
I have a laptop that is Windows 2000 with a wireless card
in it. Lets call this PC-B.
I have a desktop with Xp Home also with wireless lets call
this PC-C.

I wanted to create a network work, with ICS.
I went into PC-A setup the dailup as a shared, and turned
on the Firewall. I also set up the IP address as
Ip: 192.168.0.1
Submask: 255.255.255.0
Gateway 192.168.0.1
Dns: 192.168.0.1

Now when I go into My network Places . I get a message
that say, you do not have permissions to Network
Resources.

So I looked that up, and went into wins, and made sure
that wins was playing nicely with TCPIP ( the middle one I
believe).

then I went into services, and restarted the computer
browsing. I also changed the setting, so it would auto
start, instead of manually starting.

Now, I can see all three pc's in the same work group.
but. When I try to access PC-B from PC-A, ( meaning from
My network places) I get a message " I don't have
permissions to access Network resources on this PC-B.
I get the same message when I try to access PC-A from PC-B
But when I try to access PC-C and PC-B with each other,
it works fine.

Any ideas?

Your ICS configuration isn't right: a network connection (192.168.0.1)
can't be its own gateway or DNS server. I recommend un-sharing the
dial-up connection, then re-sharing it, letting Windows XP make the
TCP/IP configuration on the LAN connection. Don't configure the LAN
connection manually.

WINS isn't used on a Windows XP network, but NetBIOS over TCP/IP,
which is specified on the WINS tab, is. Make sure that NetBIOS over
TCP/IP is enabled, not default, on all computers.

You can enable/disable XP's firewall separately on each network
connection. Enable it only on the ICS host computer's dial-up
connection. Disable it on every computer's LAN connection.
