Host is on Pro, client on Home.
Ran the ICWon both (host first) and this gave me file
sharing, but not internet.
Fiddled and played (using win help) and managed to get
both to ping each other.
Assigned static IP to client.
Host still connects to Internet and I still get file
sharing, but the client can not connect.
I get the same error message that I would get if I tried
opening IE with the modem unplugged.
Anyone any more ideas?
Thanks

Demon,

Please provide ipconfig information for each computer.
Start - Run - "ipconfig /all >c:\ipconfig.txt" - Open c:\ipconfig.txt in
Notepad, copy and paste into your next post.

Did you enable ICS on the host? If so, you need to enable DHCP on the client -
it will pick up settings from the host.

Cheers,
Chuck

IPCONFIG follows..
From the looks of it, I have not got DHCP enabled on the
client, but please look at the ipconfigs to see anything
else obvious, thanks

<SNIP>

OK, there's one problem. You should enable DHCP on the client, so you can get
DNS server ip addresses (that the host gets from the PPP connection).

IS ICS enabled on the Host?
