Im looking into getting a new 64bit PC.

I will be putting windows xp 64 on the new one, but we have another pc with
windows xp pro on it.(it was networked to a pc which also had windows xp pro
on it)

Am i going to have difficulties in networking these two pcs through a hard
wired router? or will it be the same as before

All versions of Windows can network with each other as long as you have the
network correctly configured.
