I've connected 3 PCs and a DSL connection to an un-managed router. I can see
the the IP addresses for each PC and I can connect to the internet. Now, what
type of network do I choose so that I can share resources from each PC. I
need detailed step-by-step instructions.
I also need to network a printer. How do I determine the address for the
printer?

Much info is needed -- thanks.

Hi

If you are using an Entry Level Cable/DSL Router your Network type is Peer to Peer.

In order to share resources you need to configure the Sharing settings of all Network
computers.

Log to this page it has a lot of links to instructions to Windows Network Settings, and
Sharing.

The Network Printer would probably come set to obtain IP automatically and it would
obtain an IP from your Router’s DHCP server. Otherwise there would be a Utility that can
be installed on one computer to set the Printer to would ever else you want to set it
to.

When using Entry Level Network Printer you have to install the Network Drivers of the
printers on all Network computers.
