Hi,
I've just configured the peer-to-peer network, both can
see each other. However, when I tried to access the other
computer's shares, there's a window pop up and ask for
password, the problem here is the name shown in the
username box is "Adrian/Guest" and it grey out and I
can't change the name there, also the guest doens't have
any password so I can't login. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

Hi,
How do I add the logon name? You mean in the control
panel/user accounts? I've actually got several user
account already, but it still doesn't work....

Yes, is that the way you talking about? I've created
several users, but it still doesn't work....

OK, you need to go to control panel/user accounts, but remember:

Both machines have to have identical usernames/non-blank passwords.

In other words, if user BOB with password ABC123 on machine 1 wants to
access anything on machine 2, then machine 2 must also have a user
account BOB with password ABC123. In the ptp system, that's how the
two boxes verify credentialing and access rights.

This is a little easier in client-server systems, where the Domain
Controller handles credential and access requests.

Hi,
I've tried that, but the username box in the logon
screen still grey out, just leave the Adrian/guest there,
I can't change to other user, so what else I can do??
Thanks.
